About
Mainstream psychedelics, don’t mainline pharmaceuticals.
The short version
Know NOE is a subtle psychedelic streetwear brand and media platform out of Ocean Beach, San Diego. The name is layered on purpose. “Know NOE” plays on if you know, you know — the insider phrase that asks nothing of you and gives nothing away. NOE itself is short for Nibble On Enigma — the idea that the most interesting things in life come in small doses, taken with attention.
We make for the people who already saw the wave inside the wave. The ones who pulled a thread on something and never quite put it back.
Where this came from
Know NOE started in Ocean Beach because the brand we wanted to wear didn’t exist. The ones that did either treated the topic too lightly or sold the whole thing as a trip. Neither felt right.
The brand came out of a specific place — the pier at 6am, the dive bar that’s been the dive bar since before anyone was watching, the conversations in parking lots that went sideways in the best way. Friends who came back from a trip and not quite came back the same. The shirts came after.
OB raised the brand before there was a brand. That’s the only credential it needs.
What we’re actually about
We make clothes and we publish writing, and underneath both we’re pointing at a culture that’s been around for a very long time and is finally being allowed to be discussed in public.
The pillars:
- Psychedelics — the science, the legality, the history. Honest conversations about therapeutic use, decriminalization, and what the research is actually saying.
- Mental wellness and consciousness — better questions, fewer prescriptions. Not anti-medicine; pro-curiosity about what people actually need.
- Creativity and spirituality — where the two have always overlapped, with or without anyone’s permission. Mushrooms predate every religion that tried to ban them. The Amanita muscaria sits quietly inside the imagery of more than one major holiday. Pre-Columbian Maya called them teonanácatl — “flesh of the gods.” Modern medicine is just catching up to what was already known.
- Cultural evolution — the slow rewrite of which conversations are allowed to happen out loud.
We are not selling fake enlightenment. We’re not flogging supplements. We’re not gurus. We’re a small brand in a small neighborhood paying attention to a big shift.
The work
We make in capsules. Each one is its own little world:
- Nibble on Enigma — the flagship. Earthy tones, mushroom iconography, slow on purpose.
- Know Your Piers — a love letter to OB. The locals, the lineup, the regulars.
- Fuel Your Mind — for the ones who’d rather think than scroll.
- States of Amanita — mushroom culture rendered for the surface. A portion of every order in this line goes to the VETS Foundation, which funds clinically guided psychedelic therapy for veterans dealing with PTSD and traumatic brain injury.
- Shroomy Kiss — bright, flirty, the one your friends ask about.
Everything is made to order in San Diego. Nothing pre-printed. Nothing sitting in a warehouse waiting to be marked down. The trade-off is patience — 5 to 7 days from your click to your door. The trade-off works out because we don’t make what nobody asked for.
Who this is for
If you’re here, you’re probably one of three things: someone who saw a Reel and wanted to know what the brand was actually about, someone a friend told to look, or someone who’s been around psychedelic culture long enough to recognize a sympathetic sign. All three are welcome.
The brand is built for the ones who quietly see the world a little differently — surfers, skaters, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, travelers, deep thinkers, and the everyday curious. People who’d rather nibble than numb, who want their clothes to know it without their clothes saying it.
If you KNOW, you NOE.
